June Tailor cutting mats are hard surface for superior durability, which means it is not necessary to use excessive pressure when cutting through your fabric. Your rotary cutter blade rides on top of the cutting mat and is not intended to cut into the plastic as you do with a soft surface mat. This prevents trapping fabric and batting fibers in the cut grooves.
This rotary mat also features ruler markings for precision cutting, templates, or piercing outside the mat. Use this functional craft tool to create fun basic and advanced quilting projects.
Dimensions: 23 x 23 inches (grid). Weather safe - will not warp, crack, or peel when exposed to extreme hot or cold. Rule markings outside cutting grid.
The front face is pristine. The back has some scratching due to abrasion from cardboard storage. This in no way detracts from the functionality of the cutting side. I purchased this a long time ago and stored it, but never got to use it –
was a bit cheaper then, now retails for -46!
