    Description

We have here is a beautiful cranberry opalescent tumbler produced by the Northwood glass company just prior to the year 1900. This item was part of a water set consisting of a water pitcher plus an even number of tumblers.  The early striped examples are fairly scarce on the market, this pattern was produced by numerous glass companies of old as well as reproduced throughout the 20th century.  The glass stands 3 3/4” tall and spans 2 3/4” across the top. A great and scarce example, however, this tumbler is sold as is. Several pictures reveal chips on the rim as well as a small open interior bubble visible from the inside.  Most of the rim is fine, chips concentrated on one side of the piece. It can be fixed, I will leave this up to the new owner should this be an option. No staining or residue on the inside, great color to the glass.  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
    Thank you.
