    Description

1989 Ford Mustang GT, 5-speed transmission, 81,000 original miles!
This car is in excellent condition and runs powerful and strong.  Those who love these fox body Mustangs know how hard it is to find one of these in great shape.  I love the 1989's in particular, because you have 225 hp (not like the 1993s which are rated at 205), and the wheels have that tough and solid look, and you don't have that loose-fitting and baggy inner door storage liner, which were added starting in 1990.  Thus, you get a sleek, clean look on the inside of the doors.  Additionally, this is the two-tone version, which in my opinion is the best look for these fox bodies.  These 89s are killer and have an amazing look!  They are the preferred model in my view!
I am the third owner of this car.  As I understand it, an older gentleman from Florida owned it for the first 25 years or so, then a collector in Utah had it for a year or two, and I bought it from him about two years ago.  I have had no problems with this car!  It looks and drives great.  I usually get at least one compliment on this car nearly every time I drive it!  It drives fast and has lots of power.  When I bought the car two years ago, there was a small leak in the radiator, so I had the radiator replaced.  Also, I think the hatchback support struts may eventually need to be replaced.  When I open the hatchback door, it stays open on its own for about 25 seconds, and then slowly starts to lower itself down after that, taking maybe another 25 seconds or so to reach the bottom.
As far as I can tell this car is nearly entirely stock.  The previous owner added a professionally installed USB port to one of the cigarette lighter ports (as seen in the picture), and professionally installed two cup holders (as seen in the picture), as I understand it, none of these original fox bodies actually had cup holders in the original design (which was one of the most common criticisms of the fox body).
Once I was with my 12 year old son at a gas station in Westwood, California (just outside of the UCLA campus) and an older gentleman came up to my son and said to him, "Never let your dad sell this car!"  It has that kind of appeal to it!
I love how this car drives.  In 1989, 225 hp was a lot of power.  Now-a-days, many cars have over 225 hp, but they don't drive like this Mustang.  I once told my 19 year-old son, "you haven't lived until you've driven this car!"  And, I stand by those words.
All of the pictures you see were taken on August 10th 2021.  These pictures give you a nice idea of the condition of the car.  There are a few very minor scuffs or dings here and there, and I tried to take close up pictures in areas where I noticed these types of things.  Overall I would consider this car to be in excellent condition.  It is NOT "immaculate" or "pristine".  But I would say its in "excellent" and nearly "outstanding" condition.
