    Description

    1986 Ford Mustang Convertible
    5.0L 302 c.i.
    5 Speed Manual
    3.55 Gears
    Cruise Control Works
I did all the work myself, so if there's an issue you can blame me, but that doesn't mean there's a warranty implied- It's a 35 year old car. With that said, the car starts on the first crank even after sitting for a period, and doesn't leak an ounce of fluid or smoke, even under full acceleration.
Engine: 6k Miles on rebuild; 1989 solid lifter block converted to roller, E7 heads. Rings and bearings. GT cam, GT40 intake, MAF conversion + new A9L Computer, 24lb injectors, Kirban FPR, new plugs, belts, wires, gaskets, etc.
New fuel tank, sender unit, pump. New Battery. New alternator. BBK cai with new BBK MAF calibrated for injectors. New 02 Sensors, coolant temp sensor, TPS, temp sender, PCV. New distributor cap, rotor, and PIP. New water pump.
Exhaust: Shorty Headers, MAC Prochamber mid pipe and custom cat back. The car sounds wicked even with a relatively stock motor.
Transmission: Jasper REMAN T5. B&M Short throw. Shifts smooth and tight through all the gears though sometimes shifting to second requires some finesse. New clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing. Aluminum clutch quadrant, new clutch cable. New vehicle speed sensor.
Suspension: New shocks at all four corners, Lowering springs, upper and lower tubular control arms, complete KONI rear quadrashock setup, new bushings and hardware. Saleen SC wheels and Nitto tires new for this season. New sway bar bushings and end links. New Steering rack, new high pressure and return lines.
Brakes: New brakes front and rear with front hubs, new pads, rotors, hardware, and fluid has been flushed. New parking brake cables. New brake lines.
Body: New convertible top, powered, works excellent. Body is straight and clean. No rust or rot in floors or shock towers. Torque boxes are mint and straight. Welded in subframe connectors, NOS molding trim, upgraded headlights. Fresh paint. Power windows. Heat blows hot but no A/C. The car also comes with a red convertible top boot, or a blue one. Your choice.
Interior: Reupholstered seats, new carpet, Classic Concepts arm rest with drink holder, Classic Concepts style bar with integrated 3rd brake light. New shift boot, new temperature control cable, new speedometer cable. Bluetooth radio with NOS speakers.
All fluids (brakes, oil, trans, coolant, steering) have been flushed and changed.
This car is my daily driver. Since I've performed all this work I have put approximately 6,500 miles on the car and it hasn't left me stranded. Stop and go traffic on Rt.1 in 100 degree heat isn't an issue and the car handles great. It isn't fast, but it sure is fun to drive. The car turns heads everywhere, literally everywhere, I am constantly getting stopped to be asked to buy the car but I just haven't felt ready to let it go, but now it's time. I want another project.
    The Not So Good:
    1. The car has bouncy idles, nothing crazy but when warm the idles will bounce between 200 RPM. Does not stall.
    2. The rear quarter windows work intermittently. As of lately they haven't worked at all and I am convinced they need new window tracks.
    3. There is rust at the bottom of both doors. They're beyond saving and if you look closely at the bottom of the drivers door you can see it's not lining up with the rest of the body because of the rust and separation.
The price is negotiable but keep in mind you could not build this car yourself for the price it's listed at, let alone have someone else do it, so please keep your disrespectful offers and comments to yourself. Fair warning: You waste my time, I waste yours. If the car is listed, it's still available.
