Description
1982? BONTEMPI X301 Portable Keyboard Organ Analog Drum Machine Farfisa MinstrelAnother obscure, quirky, Italian keyboard.
The Bontempi X301 has the same sounds and rhythm patterns as the Europa Series ES4800 and is very similar to the Minstrel Beta and Delta.
The Good:
- 40, full-sized keys with 8-note polyphony
- 6 instruments with an organ sound similar to Farfisa Compact
- 8 rhythm patterns with fill-in button featuring tight and punchy analog drum sounds
- Auto-accompaniment with arpeggiator featuring manual fingering or single finger chords (does major, minor, minor 7 (eg D7) and what sounds like m6 when you hold 1, 2, 3 or 4 keys down in the accompaniment section respectively
- "S. Finger Orchestra" automatically plays a harmony note in the right hand with whatever chord is played in the left section.
- Built-in speaker, handle and power supply that can be removed
- Includes keyboard cover/lid and removable note/chord guide
- Runs on removable power supply or 12V positive (+) tip AC adapter (not included)
The Bad:
- Noisy output from "EAR" 1/4" output jack
- One tab of lid is missing and the other was super glued on
The Ugly:
- Many scrapes and dings
