Description
CLASSIC YAMAHA YC30---Very hard to find these days! This one has some rock and roll history, as well.
Definitely one for someone who collects/restores/repairs.
Here's the story of this YC30:
As the photos show, this keyboard is very clean inside, electronically, and in great shape inside, so it is definitely repairable.
The case is very beat up from years of road traveling, things scraping on it while being packed tightly in the truck, etc.
The organ itself WORKED/POWERED UP until just recently. One day I brought it out of storage to play it a while, and it was fine/working.
I used it for several days, and soon after I went to power it up and it just didn't come on again....so it could be a very old, bad fuse, or something else.
I seriously doubt it would take much to fix this organ/get it to work properly--especially if you repair this yourself/have those skills.
All of the buttons, knobs, switches WORK and do what they are supposed to...so there is a LOT about this organ that would not need attention.
The
foot-pedal
is bad/
abused
, so please make a note of that. It may or may not function, I don't remember, so we should assume it does not.
I do not believe that it would take much to get this classic organ working again.
Historical Note:
I'm letting go of a locker full of old keyboards. I played keyboards for an English band called
FLASH
:
FLASH
was formed in the 70's by former
YES
members Peter Banks (Yes Guitarist) Tony Kaye (Yes keyboardist), bassist Ray Bennett (original bassist for Bill Bruford/ (Yes/King Crimson/Alan Holdsworth) and vocalist Colin Carter (former vocalist with Camel before starting FLASH).
I used this YC30 on many of my gigs in Germany/Europe and after I moved back to the US, in Denver and on that
Midwest
circuit up until 1980.
I've been the only owner, and this was my very first keyboard, ever, purchased in Frankfurt Germany, in 1971.
You can hear the last FLASH CD on Amazon, ("FLASH FEATURING RAY BENNETT AND COLIN CARTER") and hear some clips of mine at Rickdaugherty.com
I'm currently working on a new solo album as well as a handful of compositions for a well known artist as we speak.
If you restore, or repair and are interested in refurbishing a classic, rare YC30, there is definitely enough good here to make that happen.
Selling AS IS, no returns.
SHIPPING:
VERY HEAVY, (think Fender Rhodes-ish). I talked to a fed ex shipper today, and based on this unit's size and weight (88 pounds PRIOR to packing)
he ESTIMATED shipping should run about 0+/-, depending on final
packing
weight and shipping destination.
HOWEVER: Whatever the cost is, y
ou will ONLY pay for EXACT shipping/box/padding...not a dime more.
I will show you all receipts for packing/shipping/insurance, etc...so I will not make a penny on shipping.
Ebay forces you to put a price in the shipping area box, or you can't list the item, so I'm entering "0.00", but as I clearly state above, shipping may be more OR LESS.
All costs will be transparent, up front. I will not pay any part of the shipping. Thank you.
We want it packed great and fully insured!
Note: Due to store closures, and the current health situation, it may take a few days to get this to a shipping facility/properly boxed/packed. etc.
But it will be properly packed and insured ASAP after purchase.
ALSO: IF you take the weight and measurements/packing supplies and come up with a cheaper, better way to ship it, we will use your way.
So I'm being as totally fair about shipping as possible. 100% above board.
Will ship globally if you use ebay's global shipping process and pay all additional fees required by ebay to use this service.
Make sure your country will accept this item before purchasing! Not all countries allow imports of all keyboard models.
If shipping globally, expect shipping costs to be much higher on your end/ebay's end.
Thanks for looking.
