    Description

Im going to try and be as clear as I can on this car so this ad might get a little long. You can also call me up and ask any questions you like or I will take pictures and send them to you. I own a classic car restoration shop called Kevin's Klassic Cars in Cannon Falls Mn. We specialize in Mustangs. I buy project cars sometimes in case we get slow we have some filler work. I bought two of these fastbacks 5 years ago and we have no signs of slowing up so I am going to sell them. In the past I have bought cars that look decent for 20K and then I media blast them and I have to replace everything anyway because they did such a hack job restoring them. So on this car I bought it in AZ for 5K or 6K (cant remember exactly) and it had just came from California hence the California title.
I then brought it to my shop many years ago and had it media blasted and replaced any sheet metal that was not good. We left the shock towers out because I had planned on putting in a Coyote engine and an upgraded suspension. When I bought the car it was a bare shell and I havent added anything to it. These can be added back in if you like to go back to original but the restomod is by far more popular now even though we do a ton of concours correct cars. When all of this sheet metal work was done just like always we had the car on a frame rack and we used a transom to make sure everything was aligned. This doesnt mean you wont have to do some tweaking to make the gaps perfect, that is something we always do to make the gaps really nice.
This is a true 289 4 barrel A code car with the VIN in the front aprons in two places and a clear California title. The vin tag on the door is what tells you the other items like color and 4 speed and that was missing. I ordered a new one from Kevin Marti and I put in there black on black, 4 speed, and this door tag is on order and should be here in about 4-6 weeks. If you brought this car to my shop just the work we have done without the initial price of the car you would be higher then what I am asking complete for the car. You can go buy a dynacorn 66 Mustang for 18-19K with no vin or you can buy this car that has been media blasted, all the rusty panels replaced and it has a clear California title and vin in the aprons for 3-4K less. The front headlight buckets are original and excellent there is no damage or cracks in them. The hood is a Shelby, metal reinforced hood. This car is ready to have the gaps set and then on to body work. The doors are original on this car and have been media blasted and there is no rust in the seams on the bottom of the doors. There is a small hole in the front of one of the doors which should be easy to fix.
Here is what is original to the car and the rest of the car is parts from Dynacorn. Front frame rails, rear torque boxes, partial rear frame rails, partial rear inner aprons, doors, fenders, rockers, quarter extensions, headlight buckets, roof, A&B pillars, transistion panel, cowl. Here is what still needs to be fixed on those parts. The front frame rails have some pitting plus the one on the drivers side has a dent but not a major one. The right rocker has a couple of dents in it and they have started to work on them but they still need more work. The front fender has not been media blasted and the bottom of it needs some work. The front of the dash was welded in so that we could put custom gauges in there for the restomod. Rear frame rails are not available for these so we had to splice in the last 18 inches of frame rail. Most of the other items are in excellent condition but Im sure there are some small things on all of the parts on the car. If you need any other pictures or if you have questions please feel free to contact me. I am doing work in the shop also, so you may need to call a couple of times to get a hold of me.
