    1957 Pontiac Chieftain:
I did find a hood chrome bar for this, not perfect but no holes in it.
Body tag shows built Atlanta, GA, car does not appear to have seen road salt, but was picked on by guys for parts for other cars.  So it's missing the engine, trans, all the factory air parts, original column/steering, and some trim parts, plus the original master cylinder. One hood hinge, one headlight door and the quarter stainless are also absent.  I picked up a decent lower bumper for it; the uppers and grille are inside the car.  I also picked up a rough '55 column and box for it (and it does have a piece of conduit serving as a tie rod so it can be moved).  Other than a large hole in the left front floor and two small holes in the front of the rear wheel housings the body is very solid.  The lower edge of the trunk lid is weak, the rear bumper tips are like most shot.  The seats in it aren't bad looking but were all taken apart.   It's been stored indoors in a warehouse the last several years.
I do have a big tube of 57 trim parts I picked up at a swap years ago that could be gone through to see if there's anything that can be used on this.
Really this would be a fairly easy builder although it may be easier to subframe the front rather than keep the stock suspension.
Rearend alone is expensive due to their use in other cars, they are a bolt-in replacement for the weak rearend in 55-57 Chevrolets and a one year only part (58-up have different suspension).
WE ARE NOT A SALVAGE YARD - WE DO NOT PART OUT VEHICLES
Pricing note:  Old Cars Report 9-10/12 issue shows a value of 20 on this car in this condition.  I don't care what you bought from someone else for some other price, or if you don't understand what an asking price is.
Terms of sale: All cars are sold AS-IS. These are old cars and many have rust issues, they can have problems which are not apparent without a more detailed inspection and as such we may not be aware of the issues. Any prospective buyer is welcomed to make an appointment to come inspect a car in person prior to buying. Nonrefundable deposit of 10% or 0 whichever is greater due within 7 days. Must be paid in full or arrangements made within 14 days. 30 days storage is included to give you plenty of time to arrange to get the vehicle. We're flexible with weather concerns particularly in the winter; storage on paid cars can be arranged in advance for per month, but if a buyer can't be contacted or is unable to make suitable arrangements, per day storage fees will be applied against the amount that's been paid on the car. This is not to be unreasonable, but to prevent being taken advantage of.
How to pay: Payment in person via cash, check, money order. My postman can stand in for you if desired. I do not accept Paypal on items that are not shipped via a trackable method. Any questions, just let me know.
