1908 JEFFERSON antique WHITE OPALESCENT glass VINTAGE GRAPE #245 BOWL ruffle

Offered for sale is a
beautiful
antique opalescent glass bowl made by Jefferson Glass.  The pattern is their #245, also called VINTAGE.  It has a pressed pattern with bunches of grapes, leaves, and twisting vines (pictures 4 and 5) embossed on the outer surface of the glass.  The inside surface is smooth, and the bowl stands on a short circular base (picture 6).  The bowl itself is made of clear glass, extending into a band of milky white opalescence at the rim.  The edge has been worked into six lobes, with a tightly crimped ruffle rim.
The Vintage pattern was introduced in ~1908.
This bowl measures 8 1/4 inches (21.0cm) across the widest part of the rim, and stands 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm) tall to the highest point.  It is shown with a U.S. quarter in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.  This is a magnificent antique opalescent bowl for your collection!
The bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs.  There is no visible discoloration in the glass.
